Editorial Graphic: Simple, elegant

I know. You say you can't draw. I can't draw either. But we are all designers.

This week's New York Times has a good example of a simple "drawing" that makes the perfect editorial illustration. I could have drawn this. You, too.

My point is not that the illustrator is untalented. Quite the contrary. The point is that sometimes we need to think more broadly about how we create and define art, images and meaning.
